Were a society of smartphones, and these devices do everything- text, call, navigate, entertain. But what about those old school retro phones we loved so much? You know, the ones that could fall without their screen shattering into a billion bits. Those were cool too right?

You bet! We took a look at some the greatest phones this world has ever seen, and after all these years, were still impressed! Step aside, smartphones. Its old school time.

The Nokia 3310

In 2000, a legend was born. Some say its the greatest phone of all time. Its been hailed on Mashable as Mans Greatest Invention. And no, were not talking about the iPhone. Were talking about the indestructible Nokia 3310.

This epic phone (now discontinued) boasted up to 270 minutes of talk time. A single charge could last for days! It was heavy, sturdy, and easy to use. Its tiny monochrome display might not stand a chance against todays smartphones beautiful screens, but it wasnt nearly as likely to crack! The Nokia 3310s best feature? Snake II. Hours upon hours were wasted (ahem, well spent) playing this addicting game on this wildly popular phone!

The Nokia 1110

Sometimes, simple is best. And if one thing can be said for the Nokia 1110, its that this phone is mighty simple! Obviously this didnt and doesnt bother consumersits one of the worlds best selling phones, despite being launched nine years ago.

If technology isnt really your thing, then this phone is for you! No camera, large keys, and zero frills make this device a great choice for first-time users. As for you advanced techies? Dont hatethe Nokia 1110 comes equipped with 3 built-in games. You can also create your own ringtones and swap out the coverpretty nifty!

The Motorola Razr V3

Nokia pretty much dominates the list of top-selling phones throughout the years, but we had to recognize the device that kicked off the thin-phone craze! The shiny and tiny Motorola Razr V3 was all the rage for its flat keyboard, sleek design, and feather-light weight.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Motorola Razr V3, which launched in 2004 and skyrocketed shortly after. Okay, so maybe you couldnt play Candy Crush Saga on it, but you could email! And those little charms you could attach to the side? Fabulous! Plus, the Razr V3s smart key activated the viewfinder in the front displayit was selfie heaven!

We all know smartphones are great. But sometimes we miss the good ole days when the fanciest feature on a cell phone was email (or even Snake II). Besides, if these phones hadnt paved the way for the mobile phone frenzy, we wouldnt have our high-tech gadgets we love so much today!
